Cuban Salsa / Miami-Style Salsa:
In the 1950s Rueda de Casino was developed in Havana, Cuba. Pairs of dancers form a circle ("Rueda" in Spanish means "Wheel"), with dance moves called out by one person. Many of the moves involve rapidly swapping partners. This style of salsa dance made its way to Miami, FL, where it evolved and became very popular. In this class you will start learning the basic steps of Salsa Dancing and then move on to beginners, intermediate and advanced turns and moves from Rueda de Casino. Although all moves are learned in a circle where couples will exchange partners during the dance, these moves can be also applied in one-on-one dancing. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced dancer, this class will definitely help you improve your salsa dance skills for both leads and follows in a very fun and social way.
