Fred and Joyce have been dancing together since end of 2006 in the International Standard and Latin styles of Ballroom dancing. During that time, they have trained under various professional teachers from Singapore, Russia, U.K. and the U.S.A. In 2009, Fred competed in various international competitions in Singapore, Philippines, and Malaysia. Representing the USA, he was placed third in the finals for the Waltz and Tango categories and was semi-finalists in many events. With a deep passion for Standard and Latin Ballroom dancing, they enjoy promoting them within the community. In 2009, Fred was recognized as 2008 Peoria Area Dance Ambassador Of The Year for promoting dance sport. Recently, he has also extended his repertoire to include Salsa, Bachata, Night Club Two-Steps and Lindy Hop. In 2010, Fred and Joyce was placed third in the Windy City Open DanceSport Championships Amateur events.

They currently instruct in the following styles from Beginning, Intermediate to Advanced levels:

International Standard – Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep

International Latin – Cha-cha, Samba, Rumba and Jive.

Social Dances - Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Swing (Triple Step/East Coast Swing), Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba.
