| Cuban Salsa, also known as Miami Style Salsa or "Rueda de Casino", is a style of salsa dancing that originated in Cuba in th 50's and made its way to Miami, Fl, where it evolved and became very popular. In Cuban Salsa couples of dancers form a circle and perform moves and turns that are called by one person, following the beat of the music. The different moves are learned as a group but can also be done by each individual couple without the need of a caller.
At Body Fitness, we offer 3 Levels of Cuban Salsa Dance. In these classes you will learn first the basic steps of Salsa Dancing and then move on to beginners, intermediate and advanced turns and patterns. All moves are learned in a circle where couples will exchange partners during the dance, but at the end of each lesson we will also show you how to apply these same turns when dancing one-on-one with your partner.
Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced dancer, this class will definitely help you improve your salsa dance skills for both leads and follows in a very fun and social way. No previous dancing experience required to join the level 1 class.
